Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data PropMachine ("we", "us") collects, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it. It covers both this website and the PropMachine mobile application.

1. Who we are

PropMachine is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us about anything in this document at privacy@propmachine.io.

2. What we collect

Website — waitlist

If you join the waitlist we collect your email address, and optionally the leagues you tell us you follow. We use these only to email you about the launch and to understand which competitions to prioritise. Providing the league preferences is optional and refusing has no effect on your signup.

Mobile application

• Device identifier. A generated identifier used to associate your subscription and saved picks with your installation.
• Usage analytics. Aggregate, event-level data about which screens and features are used, so we can improve the app. This is not used to build advertising profiles.
• Purchase data. Subscription status and transaction receipts, received from Apple or Google. We never see or store your card details — payment is handled entirely by the platform.
• Diagnostics. Crash and error reports, used to fix faults.

Camera and the scanner

If you use the in-app scanner, images are processed on the fly to read their contents. Images are not stored — they are neither written to our servers nor retained after the scan completes. Camera access is requested only at the point you use the feature, and you can decline it without losing access to the rest of the app.

What we do not collect

We do not collect your name, date of birth, address, payment card details, contacts, precise location, or health data. We do not ask you for bookmaker credentials, and the app does not connect to any bookmaker account.

3. Legal bases for processing

• Consent — waitlist emails and optional league preferences. You may withdraw consent at any time.
• Performance of a contract — operating the app and your subscription.
• Legitimate interests — security, fraud prevention, diagnostics, and improving the product, balanced against your rights.

4. Where your data is processed

Your data is processed in the European Union. Where a processor operates outside the EU or the UK, transfers are made under the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. We share data only with processors acting on our instructions, which currently include our email delivery provider, our hosting and analytics providers, and the Apple and Google app platforms for subscription handling. Each is bound by a data processing agreement.

6. How long we keep it

• Waitlist emails — until launch and any related announcements are complete, or until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, whichever is sooner.
• App data — for the life of your account, then deleted or anonymised within 90 days of deletion.
• Diagnostics — up to 12 months.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR and equivalent UK law you have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its processing, receive it in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email privacy@propmachine.io. We aim to respond within 30 days.

Deletion on request. Ask us and we will delete your personal data, including your waitlist entry, without needing a reason.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.

8. Marketing emails

Waitlist emails are limited to the launch and closely related news. Every email carries a one-click unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you from the list entirely.

9. Cookies and analytics

This website sets no advertising or tracking cookies. If privacy-preserving analytics are added, they will be introduced with a consent choice that defaults to the privacy-preserving option, and non-essential cookies will not be set before you agree.

10. Children

PropMachine is intended for people aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Security

Data is transmitted over TLS and stored on access-controlled infrastructure. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to the limited data we hold.

12. Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our practices change and revise the date at the top. Material changes affecting your rights will be notified by email where we hold your address.
